Behind the Team – Our Favourite Soho ‘Feast Friday’ Spots

Having offices based in Soho means that there is numerous temptation to splash out on delicious food every day of the week. This has led to a tradition in our offices know as ‘Feast Friday’  where after trying to be good to both our wallets and our waistlines all week we splash out on our favourite Soho eats. Below are a few of the Story office favourites. If you find yourself in Soho around lunch time they are a must try!

1. Herman Ze German
“It’s my guilty lunchtime pleasure, albeit not so good for my weight! A proper German hotdog, seasoned fries (they’re the best) and German Kola for £8.55 – what’s not to love?”Joey Quinlan

2. NY Fold
“I love the NY Fold Pizzas. 103 Charing Cross Road. So apart from being literately in the same building…… Such a cool idea to have a very large slice of delicious pizza, My particular favourite is Caramelised Onions with parma ham and mozzarella…. Real Italian very thin pizzas …” – Dominique Gill

3. Pod
“My favourite is Pod…
Their thai green chicken curry is amazing – that’s the only thing I ever have from there!  On a normal day I’ll have the ‘skinny’ version which has no rice, but a really yummy ‘slaw instead. Then on a naughty Friday, I’ll get the works, with rice too. It’s so good! ” – Steph Eayrs

“I love the Thai Curry at POD because its really filling but it still feels like you’re being a little bit healthy!” – Carly Begner

4. Top Dog
“Top dog is my favourite place for take out – the hot dogs have the best toppings I’ve ever tasted and the combo of the sausage and the bread is amazing. The only negative is they’re not big enough!!” – Bea Smith

5. Mother Mash
“Pie and mash on a Friday is the best, and their ‘Champ’ mash with cheddar cheese and spring onions is soooo good!”Carly Bristow

6. Street Food Union
“For me, Feast Friday needs to be from the local street food vendors. First of all it gets you out of the office for a nice bit of fresh air. The smell of some of the food is incredible and you really get that rustic, outdoorsy feel. Everything is cooked fresh and to your exact liking. I actually can’t think of the names as there are so many and depends on where you are in London as to what market you choose to go for. Of course I can’t recommend Kerb highly enough- they know how to do street food properly.”Melanie Rose

“I love the Soho Street food vendors that appear on Rupert Street every Thursday and Friday. It’s soo cool to have such a variety of flavours and cuisines to pick between so close to the office and at such a reasonable price.”Clare McAndrew
