For us, sustainability isn’t an afterthought – it’s woven into everything we do. We believe that unforgettable experiences and responsible event planning should go hand in hand, showing that our industry can lead the way in creating a brighter, more sustainable future.
The London Christmas Party Show 2025 was no exception. For the fourth year running, we worked with TRACE by isla to carefully measure our environmental impact. By understanding our footprint, we can take meaningful steps to reduce, offset and give back — ensuring our events create not only memories, but also lasting positive change.
At Story Events, we’re committed to creating unforgettable experiences while championing sustainability. For the fourth year, we’ve worked with TRACE by isla to measure our impact, and the results are in…
- Total carbon footprint: 18.10 tCO2e
- Average footprint per attendee: 19.05 kg CO2e
- Total waste footprint: 1.49 tonnes (≈ 1.57kg per attendee)
Offset & Giving Back through B1G1
To balance this impact, we partnered with B1G1 to create lasting change around the world. Together, we:
🌳 Planted 324 trees globally
🥗 Rescued 36kg of food in Singapore
🔆 Provided 540 days of solar light in India
Thanks to our visitors and exhibitors, we also donated on their behalf, creating meaningful impacts such as:
🏠 2,881 days of necessities for the homeless in South Africa
🍚 621 cups of rice for children in crisis in Vietnam
💧 2,359 days of clean water for hospital patients in Kenya
A Second Life for Exhibitor Graphics
Stand graphics are one of the biggest sources of waste at any trade show — so finding a solution has been key to our sustainability journey. This year, instead of being discarded, they’ve been given a new purpose:
✨ The majority were donated to local schools, where they’ll be repurposed for creative projects and festive performances.
✨ Others found a home at a reuse charity, where trimmings, props and surplus materials are transformed into arts and crafts resources for the community.

By working together with our exhibitors and suppliers, what once served as branding now inspires creativity, reduces waste and supports a more circular economy.
We’re proud of these steps, but this is just the beginning. Together, we can show that events don’t just bring people together they can also be a powerful force for good.
